Laya to Gasa Trek

This trek is considered as one of the most difficult trek in Bhutan that takes you through an incredible journey over six mountain passes, across gushing rivers and streams, villages, yak herders' camps, diverse flora and fauna and the fascinating beauty of the Himalayas in its purest form.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01 Your arrival at Paro Airport by Druk Air. See flight details. Sightseeing Paro and Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 Trek to Shana. Overnight at tented camp. Distance: 17km

Day 03 Trek to Soi-Thangthangkha. Overnight at tented camp.

Day 04 Soi Thangthangkha - Jangothang. Tented camp. Distance: 19km

Day 05 Jangothang - Lingshi. Tented camp. Distance: 19km

Day 06 Lingshi - Chebisa. Tented camp. Distance: 19km

Day 07 Chebisa - Shomuthang. Tented camp. Distance: 17km

Day 08 Shomuthang - Robluthang. Tented camp Distance: 15km

Day 09 Robluthang - Lemithang. Tented camp. Distance: 19km

Day 10 Lemithang - Laya. Tented camp. Distance: 10km

Day 11 Laya acclimatization. Tented camp

Day 12 Laya - Koina. Tented camp at tourist shelter. Distance: 19km

Day 13 Koina - Gasa. Tented camp. Distance: 17km

Day 14 Gasa acclimatization at the hot springs.

Day 15 Gasa - Goem Damji. Tented camp. Distance: 21km

Day 16 Goem Damji - Punakha. O/N at hotel. Distance: 17km

Day 17 Morning Punakha valley sightseeing. Afternoon drive to Thimphu (3-4 hrs.). O/n hotel.

Day 18 Thimpu - Paro Departure.
