Itinerary Detail
Day 1 Fly to Pokhara from Kathmandu & Trek to Birethanti [1075m]
We take a thirty-minute flight to Pokhara from Kathmandu airport. During the flight, we get to savor the most mesmerizing views of glorious Manaslu and snow-capped Annapurna mountain range. Soon after landing on Pokhara, we take one-hour leisure drive to Naya Pool along graceful Modi Khola Valley. On reaching our destination, we begin our Annapurna trekking. The route skirts through lush forest leading finally to Birethanti after walking for 1 hour. Birethani house well-resourced shops, hotels, cafes, a police check post, a bakery and a bank. Day 2 Trek to Ghandruk [1940m]
Leaving Birethani, we trail along terraced fields beneath the splendid panorama of awe-inspiring glaciated Himalayan mountain ranges. On passing a succession of flatland, forest, cultivated lands and a suspension bridge over Khumnu Khola, we arrive at the beautiful village of Ghandruk after walking for 3 to 4 hours. An ideal vantage point in this pristine village offers breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhare and Hiunchuli. Several hotels and teahouses at the village service warmth and hospitality while catering to trekkers’ needs. Camping in its terraced fields can indeed be very exciting and adventurous! Day 3 Trek to Tadapani [2540]
We descend further along the trail showcasing rich rhododendron forests, gloriously cascading sparkling mountain streams and other mystical vistas of nature. After continuously climbing for 3 hours, we step on the territory of Tadapani at an altitude of 2540 meters. Tadapani offers the most magnificent mountain views of overpowering peaks of Annapurna South. [Walk approx 3 hours]
Day 4 Trek to Ghorapani [2775m]
From Tadapani, we proceed along the steep trails. The route zigzags past alluring streams, graceful waterfalls and lush rhododendron forest. Further on, the trail takes us also grassy area amid the exotic sight of majestic snow-capped mountain peaks. Enchanting Machhapuchhare becomes visible at this point. Passing through deep forests, we head downhill to a small pass, Deorali at 2834m, before descending to the village of Ghorepani. Excellent views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli unfolds before us. Just 10 minutes beyond the pass is the village of Ghorepani. Ghorepani literally means "horse water" and is a welcome watering spot for the teams of mules which ply the route between Pokhara and Jomsom. There are several hotels, shops, a police check post and camping places. [Walk approx 3 hours]
Day 5 Trek to Hille [1495m]
After embracing a perfect picturesque panorama of Annapurna mountain range, Dhaulagiri and Tukuche Peak from the vintage point of Poon Hill [3195m], we advance towards Hille. The route takes us through dense forest and follows steeper rock-strewn path. We come across several lodges on the way. As we continue treading along the trails, a beautiful hamlet of Ulleri welcomes with warmth and hospitality. Finally after trekking for 3 hours along the Bhurungdi Khola we reach Hille. Day 6 Trek to Naya Pool, Drive to Pokhara & Fly/Drive to Kathmandu
Further from Hille, we continue trekking along rock-strewn trails to Nayapol. En route, Birethanti lies stretched beside the Modi River and has resourceful town. On treading continuously for two hours, we come to the main road. Now you can easily access any means of transportation to drive to Pokhara. In the evening, we can wander around the lakes of Pokhara. After our stay in Pokhara, we head to Kathmandu. [Walk approx 2 hours].
