My name is Dhruba. I am a professional licensed trekking guide with 10 years of experience, safely showing people the mountains, nature and cultural sights in Nepal, Pakistan and Tibet. My tours are available for trekkers at every level of experience and conditioning. In fact, we tour at your level and speed, helping you to better acclimate to our higher altitudes. I speak English in addition to the Nepalese languages, and know of many of the area's best lodges and hotels all along the way.
Here is what some of my clients have to say about my tours:
In January 2009, my husband and I did a 14 day trek to Everest base camp and Kalla Pattar with Dhruba Sapkota as our guide - and he was absolutely fantastic. If you are planning a trip anywhere in this region, then he is definitely your man. Spending day after day with someone, combined with the fact that you're dealing with difficult weather conditions (we went in winter), hard work and altitude, you'd want to be with someone that makes you feel safe, cared for and comfortable. Dhruba did all of these things without ever intruding on our personal space. He has a fantastic sense of humour, is warm and personable, and has an amazing knowledge of the local area. Throughout the trip, I felt completely assured that both my health and my happiness were being well taken care of! We had the most incredible time - the trek was rewarding, the scenery spectacular, and Dhruba was a star... from running back to get lost water bottles, to bringing us hot chocolates, to being tirelessly positive and keeping us motivated - he helped to make the trip one of the most amazing things we've ever done. I've already recommended his services to everyone I've showed our photos to. I highly recommend you get in touch if you're interested in trekking in the region. It was very important to us to hire a guide freelance, so that we could cut out the big companies and pay local people directly. I urge you to do this and book directly yourself - you get the same trip, for less money and with more control. Enjoy!

Out of all the many treks that we have gone on, the trek that is most memorable to us is the Jomson trek. While the scenery was stunning as ever, the one thing that made this trek our most treasured, was our ever wonderful guide -- Dhruba! Dhruba is someone that everyone would be want to befriend. He is so friendly and warm, we felt comfortable with him as our guide from the very first meeting. He made sure that we were doing well at all times and looked out for us always. One day, we will find our way back to beautiful Nepal & of course, wonderful, fabulous Dhruba! Paul & Wendy, San Francisco, California, USA
Anyway, Dhruba, please stay in touch! We would love to go back to Nepal one day & when we do, we'll definitely look you up! Hope the trekking business is going well!
